Today we are presenting the 25th Episode of the “Will and Willie” show, a year after our popular morning radio show; “Keepin’ It Real with Will and Willie” ran on KQKE’s “The Quake” in 2006. The first “Will and Willie” to be ”simulcast” on Radio, TV and Internet!

Topics for the “Pre Election Special” are The SF Mayor’s Race, Rank Choice Voting, The Occupy Movement, SF Props C & D, Campaigns and the field of Republican candidates running for President in 2012.

Thanks to KOFY TV 20 / Cable Channel 13’s studio for production of our video version as well as a TV broadcast of the show on November 7th from 10-11pm.

Don was the facilitator who arranged the initial meeting of Mayor Brown, Will Durst and Producer Paul Wells in March of 2005, when Mr. Wells’ company “Flow Communications” was working on a “San Francisco Point of View” concept for the fledgling Air America Progressive Talk Radio Network. Former San Francisco Mayor and Speaker of the California State Assembly Willie L. Brown Jr. and Political Comic Will Durst talk about the propositions on the ballot and share their considerable insight into the process. This is the part two of two parts of the conversation. There’s fun with the idea of a two-thirds majority imposed by various propositions only requiring a majority vote to pass. The Mayor’s idea of a court challenge would apply to the propositions in this election as well as the Proposition 13 property tax law passed in 1978.

Part two of the first new episodes of the Will and Willie show for 2009 begins with an insightful look into the financial budget crisis in California. Willie Brown, just returned from Sacramento right before we sat down at the Flow Communications’ studio in San Francisco, and has strong opinions about what needs to be done. His perspective as the former Speaker of the California State Assembly includes an idea of how the legislatures can end the mess. Will Durst and Willie Brown also talk about the movies, the Oscars, and Producer Paul “The Lobster” Wells gets to do his Clint Eastwood impersonation with the quote from Grand Torino, “Get off my lawn!”
