There’s fun with the idea of a two-thirds majority imposed by various propositions only requiring a majority vote to pass. The Mayor’s idea of a court challenge would apply to the propositions in this election as well as the Proposition 13 property tax law passed in 1978.

Will Durst and Willie Brown join Producer Paul “The Lobster” Wells at the St. Regis Bar Lobby now that Barrack Obama has secured the Democratic Party nomination. After a brief opening on current events, our conversation focuses on his chances of winning against John McCain in November and what his campaign must do to get there. We also speculate on who will be chosen as the Vice Presidential candidates for both parties. A firetruck going down the street prompts the former Mayor of San Francisco to give some insight to the emergency response process and a bit of San Francisco history. This is Part One of a two-part discussion. Part Two will follow in Episode 8 within a day or so.
