We had a packed house, rolling in the aisles with laughter at The Marsh Theater in San Francisco’s Mission District. Next show September 13th, 6-7pm.
Sad to report that our friend Wilkes Bashford passed away this week after a long battle with Cancer. His relationship with Willie Brown was not just as his Clothier, but one of his closest friends. Part of a group of 4 that met every Friday for lunch at Le Central in San Francisco. Wilkes was a guest on our program back in September of 2014. We had a great time. Wilkes joins us in Segment 3. He lived a very full life. One of the individuals that gives San Francisco it’s character, gone at 82. You can watch the TV version of the Will and Willie show with Wilkes by clicking here

Will Durst, Willie Brown and Producer Paul Wells all have fond memories of Robin Williams. Durst appeared on many of the same stages, and he and his wife Debi Durst were the final owners of The Holy City Zoo Comedy Club on Clement St. in San Francisco, where Robin was once a bartender before becoming Mork. Speaker of The Assembly and Mayor Willie Brown had many charity and other events where Robin generously participated. Paul “Lobster” Wells as a DJ around the Bay, likewise had more than a passing acquaintance with our local, gifted, international star. As a Stand-up Comedy Virgin, between jobs at Jive 95 KSAN and KLIV, he opened a set at The Zoo that was closed by guest sets by Michael Pritchard and Robin Williams. There is a petition being circulated to rename the Waldo Tunnel on the Marin Side of the Golden Gate Bridge (with the Rainbows over the entrance, like the suspenders worn by Robin as Mork) The Robin Williams Tunnel comprare cialis. Well, if the Bay Bridge SF Side can be the Willie Brown Bridge, it COULD happen. Sign here
Our show was taped Tuesday, September 9th at the Gold Dust Lounge in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. We did recommend that people come to The 34th Annual Comedy Day. It’s a free event at Sharon Meadows in Golden Gate Park, and one that Robin loved to show up and perform at. Starts at Noon. Come laugh your ass off, and bring a blanket to park it on, and layers of clothing!
